How do I protect a report pack?

As the system administrator, you can allow certain users to have access to the report pack by restricting access.

  1. Navigate to the Report Packs window.
    Go to Cintra iQ: Payroll> Payroll Tools> Payroll Report Packs
  2. Select the desired Report Pack definition.
  3. Click the Protect button. The creator's user name appears in the Protected By column next to the Report Pack definition and the report is protected. The button has toggled to Unprotect. 

      Note:

    Click the Unprotect button to remove the report definition's protection and allow anyone to amend it.

How do I restrict access to a report pack?

  1. Navigate to the Report Packs window.
    Go to Cintra iQ: Payroll> Payroll Tools> Payroll Report Packs
  2. Select the desired Report Pack definition.
  3. Click the Restrict button. The Access Details for [report name] window appears, which displays the users who have restricted access.

      Note:

    The Access check box remains unchecked.

  4. Check the Access check box for one or more users to whom you wish to allow access to the Report Pack.
  5. Click the OK button. The SYSADM username appears in the Restricted By column next to the Report Pack definition. The Restricted By column informs you of who has restricted the Report Pack. If an unrestricted user logs into Cintra iQ, they will then have access to the Report Pack.

      Note:

    The user who originally restricted the report pack, can remove the restricted access by clicking the Unrestrict button on the Report Packs window.
