How do I create new cost mappings?

Now that your Cost Analysis Structure is set up, you can set up rules within Cintra iQ, according to how you want your costs to be analysed when you extract Cost Analysis data. The rule set up is based on pay elements.

 

You can also group multiple pay elements together under a costing category so that you can apply cost analysis rules to categories of pay elements rather than individual pay elements. Mapped Cost Allocations are used if a Cost Category is allocated to a particular account and you want it to be reallocated  to a different account.

 

  Important:

Where the account code allocation for a category varies depending on the employee's default account code, then the Mapped Cost Allocation option should be used.

 

To create a new record

1. Navigate to the Account Mappings window. 
   Go to Cintra iQ: Payroll>Payroll Set up>Accounting.
2. Navigate to the Mapped Cost Allocations tab.
3. Right click: New. The New Cost Mapping form appears. 
   
4. Select the desired Cost Category.
5. Select the desired Cost Allocated To.
6. Select the desired Reallocated To.
7. Change the Percentage, if necessary.
8. Click the OK button. The Reallocated Costs Per Costing Category pane is updated.
   
9. Click the OK button.
