How do I view payroll calculation exceptions for an employee?

At any point in your processing cycle you can choose to do a full Gross to Net payroll calculation or when working on an employee, you can choose just to process an individual record.
 

  Note:

You can run a calculation for the whole payroll, by selecting the Payroll option and selecting the required payroll. All pending changes are displayed, which will be calculated. You can click on the entry to see more detail about what was changed.

Once you have performed the payroll calculation, if there are any exceptions you will be asked to view them. You should always view the Exceptions report and address any exceptions detailed in the report as required before going on to create a payment run. The report contains Pay PointEmployment IDPerson IDCategory and Detail information which you can print, save and/or email.
 

To view the exceptions

  1. Navigate Payroll Calculation window.
    Go to Cintra iQ: Payroll Tools> Payroll Calculation or click the Calculate icon on the tool bar. 
  2. Perform the Payroll Calculation. A message appears stating: The calculation of employee [ ID + Payroll] [Name] was successful but produced exceptions. Click on 'Yes' to view the exceptions and 'No' to continue.
  3. Click the Yes button. The Calculation Exceptions Report is displayed.
  4. Continue EmailSave and/or Print the report and address the exception(s).
  5. Click the Close button on the Payroll Calculation window.

  Important:

You can rerun the Calculation Exception report once you have closed it. For example if you wish to see starters and leavers in the period, you could select Movements only, then run the report. For more information, see How Do I Rerun the Payroll Calculation Exception Report?
