How do I change employee IDs in bulk?

Within Cintra iQ, you can change the Employment Ids of exiting employees. Use the attached employment_id_old_to_new.xlsx file as the template to collect your data before you import it into Cintra iQ.

Tips for filling in data

  • Ensure that the new Employment Ids are 10 characters or less.
  • Ensure that the old Employment Ids already exist.
  • Ensure the new Employment Ids do not already exist.

To import the employment_id_old_to_new.csv file

After you have saved the employment_id_old_to_new.xlsx file to a .csv file, perform the following:
  1. Navigate to the Interface Definitions window.
    Go to Cintra iQ: Tools> Interfaces
  2. Enter Employment ID in the Search box.
  3. Click the Search icon. The Employment Id Change definition appears in the Definitions pane.
  4. Ensure the Employment Id Change definition is selected in the IN section.
  5. Click the Open button. The Interface History - Employment Id Change window appears.
  6. Click the Load File button. The Select File to Load window appears.
  7. Search for the employment_id_old_to_new.csv file and upload it.
  8. Click the Process Unprocessed Files button. The file is now imported into Cintra iQ.



Once the new Ids have been imported, refresh the employment records in the Navigator. The affected Ids will have changed.
