Overview of Password Strength
When necessary, as a System Administrator in Cintra iQ, you have the authority to set the standards for password strength. This involves:
- Activating the password strength verification.
- Comprehending the criteria for password strength.
- Defining a user's password.
Activating Password Strength Verification
For enhanced security in Cintra iQ, you can activate the Extended Password Check. To do so:
- Head over to the System Administrations' Preferences tab.
- Select Cintra iQ: System Administration > Preferences/Installation.
- Highlight the SECURITY row.
- In the Value section, switch from OFF to ON.
- Press the Update button. This action confirms the change.
- Hit the Save button. This step turns on the Extended Password Check.
Criteria for Extended Password Check
When the Extended Password Check feature is on, every password should meet the following criteria:
- At least 8 characters in length.
- Include a minimum of one letter.
- Contain at least one number.
- Incorporate a special character. Acceptable special characters are: ( ) < > { } [ ] ! * : ; # ? \ / . , + = & ^ % $ £ @ |
