Within Cintra iQ, you can set up working patterns and FTEs (Full Time Equivalences) either via an employee's post or directly in the Time Management form. These working patterns and FTEs can then be used to calculate absences or sick pay etc.

If you are not recording Work Patterns in Post History,  you can record it in Time Management

To apply a working pattern

  1. Navigate to the Time Management window.
Go to Cintra iQ: Employment Record> Forms> Time Management.
  2. Navigate to the Work Pattern History pane.
  3. Right-click: New. The Insert FTE From Work Pattern form appears.
  4. Enter the From Date.
  5. Select the desired Work Pattern.
  6. Enter the Contracted Hours Per Week.

      Note:

These hours are recorded for information only. They will not be used to pro-rata payments.

  7. Enter the Contracted Weeks Per Year.
  8. Select the FTE Calculation Method.

      Note:

If you select Based Upon Working Pattern, the FTE will be brought through from the Work Pattern. If the employee is working less than full time then you can record the Contracted Hours Per Week and the Contracted Weeks Per Year, but you need to select Direct Entry and enter the FTE Factor manually.

  9. Enter the FTE Factor. This value will be used to pro-rata any relevant payments.
  10. Click the OK button. The FTE From Work Pattern record appears in the Working Pattern History pane. You can also apply work time rules to the employee.
